Unmistakable once seen: the head is covered in coarse rounded tubercles, which is why collectors call it the strawberry-headed trilobite. The eyes are raised on short stalks, lifting them clear of the sediment.
Encrinurus is one of the most characteristic trilobites of the Australian Silurian and is common in the Yass limestones.
